Perfect time for my throat to decide to take a hike. Have all my presentations last and this week, while for the last week my voice has been drier then the Sahara.

But it’s making me wonder how mute people feel. Especially those who lost their ability to speak.

I knew being able to speak was a privilege that not everyone had, but I didn’t completely understand the value until I had trouble talking. When I talk, it’s a struggle to properly pronounce words. But at least I can still pronounce words.

How do people who cannot talk feel? Especially for those who were born mute? Do they long for it? Do they value it as highly as I would if I lost it, or would it be much less?

One day I’ll ask them.

With the computer.
