The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 3,000 times in 2011. If it were a cable car, it would take about 50 trips to carry that many people.

So my year end stats say that my most active day of the year was November 28th with 119 views, eh? My Site Stats say that my most active day of the year is December 26th with 124 views, how confusing. These dates seem… almost strangely coincidental, but that’s another story for another day.

Today was fun.

Played my first ever round of Life.

Really, the game of Life is a good representation of life itself, messed up, random, unpredictable, short, and where money isn’t worth very much.

Whoever made the game of Life did a good job, they deserve an award. Maybe I’ll get it someday. Then again, my board games are rarely touched, because the only game I play is computer games due to the lack of anyone else to play with me. *sigh*

It’s almost New Years! It’s almost the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012.

That means…. a mental recap of things that occurred for me, and the formation of a Resolution that I most likely will not end up following. :/

Started out with a glimmer of happiness that fell through slowly and slowly until I hardly could believe myself that it once upon a time had existed.

Followed with some troubles with IB, accounting and then many hours spent in the Central Branch for socials essays. I really got into photography this year. Especially over the summer, the time before than was a transition from traditional art to digital photography. On that note, I finally actually have all my art supplies in one location. It’s nothing something that I’m proud of though, it means I’ve quit some fun things.

Summer was… interesting. Biology 12 was more fun than expected. I think I took it mainly out of the pressure that many of my friends were as well. Civics 11 though… I disliked that. Maybe it was the essays, the unwillingness to do work and my addiction to Elsword over that period of time to ruined Civics for me. On the last day, I ended up cramming majority of the assignments and still somehow found it necessary to nap for 2 hours before the cut off. The final for Civics was easy, 86% without ever reading the notes.

The start of the school year was interesting. We had camp, which was extremely entertaining, although I must admit, I still think Pre-IB camp was better, even if it was quite horrible to many.

The return from camp signaled the beginning of school really. Joining clubs, fixing schedules and getting on track. A joy ride was boarded in October and lasted quite some time, the longest one I’ve ever been on. I hope to get a second chance at that, with a particularly less amount of joy as I transition into other things to do.

I wrote a few short, short stories this year. Most of them were based on real events, dreams, or an analogy for something that I’ve experienced. I think this was a creative period for me.

In October I did my WSI, and in December my NLS courses. I’m certified as a lifeguard, LSI is next.

As the year comes to a close, I’ve come up with some things I wish to follow next year.

1. Treat everyone initially with respect.

‘Initially’ is there because not everyone deserves that respect, which I have learned in full this year.

2. Treat people how they treat you.

Treating people how you would like to be treating in concept is great. But it fails to hit a high note in reality. Instead, I find treating people how they treat you to be slightly better. I feel that there are better ways out there, and this one has major holes in it – but I haven’t got there yet.

3. Take every chance you can.

Even if it seems scary, risky, and maybe even destructive. It might end up horrible, but the feeling that you took that risk is better than the feeling months later wondering if you should have taken that chance.

4. Exercise is a must.

No need to elaborate on this, I hope to get some sort of weekly/bi-weekly plan of going swimming, at least once over the course of a week or two weeks. It’s maybe the only sport like thing I can do by myself that I don’t loathe or extremely dislike.

5. Hate is an over the top word.

It just is. Dislike fits most situations better.

6. Everyone has a ‘dark clone’.

You might never see it, but every ‘good’ person has a more darkening personality and every ‘bad’ person has a good personality in them. It’s also correlational to how good/bad one of their personalities are. If they are really nice and kind and such, they hide a very deep and dark secret side. If they have just an average good personality, they will have an average bad personality.

All in all, 2011 has been a fun, depressing, educational year. 2012 might be the end of the world, but it doesn’t end until the near end of the year.

First full year spent with WordPress, hope this lasts longer than my relationship with Bloggers and Windows Live Spaces, hehe.
